A Top Shed for Top Camp

Sprawling properties, tall trees and big skies. There’s a lot to like about Top Camp, the semi-rural slice of Australia to the south of Toowoomba. Good people there too, of course, which made this shed a pleasure to design and build. We love building dream sheds for good people.

The brief, as you might expect in an area of large acreage properties, was for a big shed. Size wasn’t to compromise functionality though - this is a working shed that needed to be designed well, built tough and incorporate features to enhance convenience and usefulness.

The Stockman Shed designers got to work, after extensive consultation with the owners around their ideas and vision for their new shed. Let’s take a look at what we came up with, and how it turned out.

Large Shed Design

That’s one big piece of shed real estate. The large floor area really enhances the versatility of the structure, allowing for multiple zones to be demarcated inside, catering to multiple uses. These owners have done well with including multiple access points too, enhancing the flexible functionality of their new shed.

Garaport

A garaport is a roofed extension to a shed, a versatile add-on that provides you with more valuable secure parking space. This garaport is epic in its size, providing tandem parking for two vehicles or plenty of machinery.

Double Skillion Roof

A skillion shed is instantly recognisable by it’s monopitch flat angled roof. On this shed, there are two - making it a double skillion. It makes for exceptional drainage, allowing for easy harvesting of rainwater. The large surface area is also perfectly adapted to hosting solar panels, enhancing the eco-credentials of your shed.

colorbond shed cladding

COLORBOND® Cladding

COLORBOND® cladding on the outside, and Bluescope Steel bones holding it up. Those are the key ingredients of a tough, durable shed that’s going to last for generations. Not only are these local Aussie raw materials tough as nails, they look great too, with 21 sublime colours to choose from and match to your back yard.

Personal Access Door

A personal access, or PA, door, is a convenient add-on that makes for easy entry and exit without opening the larger roller doors. There are plenty of other benefits - it minimises wear on the main doors, maintains the indoor temperature of the shed and offers an additional exit point in the case of an emergency. It’s definitely a value-adding feature o any shed.

Three Roller Doors

Flexible access is taken to another level with the three large roller doors on the front of the shed. Note the towering height of the doors, allowing them to accommodate tall equipment and machinery that you’d often find on farms. Having the three access points allows you to organise the interior correspondingly, which is awesome if you’re using your shed for multiple activities.

Extra Side Roller Door

Why stop at three roller doors when you can have four? This side access roller door is handy for sliding gear and machinery into the shed without moving things around at the main entrance. Perfect for loading and offloading vehicles parked in the garaport, straight into the shed.

The team was really pleased with how this Toowoomba shed turned, but best of all the owners were too. We know they’re going to get decades of use out of it, and we’re grateful they trusted us with this job.

If there’s one thing we do well, it’s build a big shed. So if that’s what you’re looking for, give us a ring now on 0493 791 972 and let’s talk about your ideas. We’re always here to help!

Cheers for now, Ryan.
