A Cabarlah Farm Shed

agricultural shed

The key elements of a farm shed are space and strength. Obviously, there are a lot more features that are handy to have, but if those two basic ones are nailed down, you’re going to have a happy farmer.

The weather can be both kind and cruel to farmers - they rely on it to nourish their crops and livestock. But it can turn on them in a flash and destroy months of hard work. They need to protect their produce and their machinery when it does, and to do this they need a strong, spacious shed.

This Cabarlah shed that Stockman built is no exception! The owners have a large property on the outskirts of Toowoomba where they have a hobby farm and run some cattle. They needed a robust and rugged storage solution for their tractor, excavator, trailers, quad bikes and motorbikes that also needed to double up as a workshop space.

Below are some images of what our custom shed designers and building team brought to life. We love how this one turned out, and more importantly, so do the owners! Let’s take a look at some of the features:

Spacious Design

With a massive footprint and a high roof, this shed filled the brief when it came to spaciousness. Plenty of secure room to tuck the machinery away when it’s not being used, and more than enough for that undercover workshop too.

Four Roller Doors

How good are these? Four identical Steel-Line roller doors provide easy access for machinery of all sizes. See how they are almost at roof level in height? That’s because farm machinery can be tall, and the last thing a farmer wants is a doorway their gear can’t get through!

tough Australian farm sheds

Australian-Made Toughness

The Toowoomba weather can be tough going if you’re exposed to it all year round. You need a shed that can stand the heat… and the cold, and the wet, and the dry! Our sheds are made from Australian BlueScope Steel and COLORBOND® materials, tried and tested in harsh Aussie conditions. Perfect for agriculture.

Farm shed personal access door

Personal Access Doors

Our PA doors come from Larnec, a local Australian company who are the best in the game. The quality is undeniable, as is the extra functionality they give a shed, reducing reliance on the big roller doors and making for more streamlined entering and exiting.

Shed Windows

The beauty of a custom shed from Stockman is the flexibility on what features you want included. If you need big windows and lots of them, we can do that. If you need less sunlight coming in to protect what’s being stored inside, that’s also possible. Whatever path you take, you’ll love the quality of the Bradnams windows we install in your shed.

I’m going to leave you with a few more images from this Toowoomba shed below. If you’re in the market for an agricultural shed and have any questions that need answering, I’m happy to help out.
