A School Shed in Toowoomba
Centenary Heights School in Toowoomba had a growing need for more secure space on their campus. Space to teach and to store, where functionality was prioritised and optics had to align with the rest of the campus buildings. We started chatting with them about building a school shed that could take care of all of those requirements for them - a large shed that maximised the available space they had for a structure. After numerous site visits and extensive consultation between our shed designers and the school, we were proud to build this state-of-the-art school shed for them - a purpose-built facility that will give them good use for decades to come!

Multiple Roller Doors
Those three tall roller doors on the side of the shed create an indoor-outdoor functionality that’s extremely useful for a number of reasons. If a large class is being taught, open those up and there’s seamless overflow into the outdoor space. They also let the natural light flood in when open, filling the large interiors. All our roller doors come from Steel-Line, Queensland’s leading supplier.
Personal Access Door
This is a very handy touch, particularly on a shed with big roller doors, as it makes for simple and easy access without opening them. It’s a real time saver. This secure personal access door is supplied by Larnec, as are all our PADs. Larnec give us full customisation, so you can be sure you’re getting the right size PAD for your shed.
High Gable Roof
The gable roof is a popular design because it’s effective, simple and looks good. The two sloping sides that meet in an apex in the middle allow for efficient drainage, while maximising the internal space too. Constructed to withstand high winds, this is one tough shed roof. It towers high above the ground, creating that feeling of spatial abundance inside.
Elongated Design
The nature of the available land the school had for their shed was more long and narrow than it was square. With a need for the side access road you can see pictured, we went for a slightly elongated floorplan that would allow us to accommodate a massive shed as well the road.
Spacious Interiors
Safe, secure and spacious, the inside of the school shed tick all the boxes the school needed ticked. There’s room to store all their valuable gear, and there’s ample space for kids to learn. Check out the insulation on the roof and walls too - always nice and firm on a Stockman job.
