Meet Speedway Driver Brendan Kennedy

Stockman Sheds is proud to sponsor local Toowoomba speedway driver Brendan Kennedy, a man I am also proud to count on as a friend. We met many years ago when I installed a shed on his property, and our love of all things car related has kept us in touch since.

You may remember we shared some pictures of Brendan’s car when we first started sponsoring Kennedy Motorports, which you can check out here. We’ve gone a bit further this time, filming some behind the scenes and interview footage with Brendan, his car and his biggest supporters - his Mum and Dad. Have a watch below!

Motorsport runs thick in the blood of the Kennedy family. Brendan and his Dad built his car in their own garage sheds, and both have hours of experience out on the track. It’s a special feeling for them to take a car from conception, right the way through to winning a race. Thaty’s what it’s all about!

Their passion for their craft is really evident when they talk - these guys know their stuff and are great at what they do. That’s why we love being associated with them. “It’s not just what I do, it’s who I am,” Brendan says in the video above. That’s a great approach to any pursuit.

Solid life advice from Brendan at the end of the vid too. You see, all that knowledge and experience doesn’t stop the nerves from kicking in on race day. His feelings are the nerves make you stronger, because they mean you’re challenging yourself. And when you challenge yourself, you grow. In fact, you feel like a king.
