Space equals functionality when it comes to commercial sheds, and this one has both in spades. Built for Greenmountain Group, it’s a major addition to their food processing facility, providing much-needed room for storage and operations. Our Toowoomba shed-building team did a great job on this one. It looks the goods, and it’s as tough and robust as they come. Today we want to show you around this factory shed and highlight some of the standout features.

Space….

It’s difficult to describe the feeling when walking into this commercial shed. The roof soars above you, and the walls stretch away in front. The internal stats will put it into perspective: 18-metres wide, 27.28-metres long, and a mammoth 7.3-metres high. That’s nearly 500 square-metres of internal floor space to work, with the ability to go high with the storage solutions. ‘Industrial’ for sure.

Here’s another image of the interior just to really highlight the size of this steel structure. The possibilities opened up by having this much internal space are endless. For a busy commercial enterprise, it solves problems, adds value and soon becomes an indispensable part of operations.

High Strength Concrete Slab

One thing you can bet your bottom dollar on, this shed will be put through its paces. It’s only as strong as its foundation, which is why Stockman will only lay the toughest concrete slab possible. All our slabs, including this one, are made with high-pressure 32MPa concrete. Ususally found in bridges and roads, rest assured this concrete will stand up to whatever commercial activities Greenmountain need it for.

COLORBOND® Cladding and BlueScope Steel

At the heart of the quality of this shed are the raw materials and components we use. The eye-catching cladding and roof materials are all from COLORBOND®, while the steel used throughout is none other than the famous BlueScope Steel. These local products are the go-to for Australian construction, having been tried and tested in the our harsh weather environments. We wouldn’t trust any other steel.

Cladded Overhang

We’re big fans of this design touch. It’s not one we see often and it works a treat. A five-metre overhang extends away from the front of the building, and the base of it has been cladded with COLORBOND® materials to match the entire exterior. this is a practical addition that improves the outdoor storage of the shed and enhances it’s drainage capabilitie.

Tall Roller Door

We can fully customise the number and the size of the roller doors installed in your shed. Greenmountain opted for a single, high door, which allows for tall machinery to pass in and out seamlessly. The nature of the work to be carried out in the shed is best suited to minimising large access points, so the singular roller door meets their needs.

Multiple Personal Access Doors

There are a total of three personal access, or PA, doors in the shed. These increase the ease of acccess for foot traffic, reducing the reliance on the large roller door for entry and exit. PA doors are lockable and robust, making them a secure option for improving functionality.
